COMMUNITY EVENTS
March 18, 2025 thru May 13, 2025- PLAY WITH A PURPOSE– Thorn Hill Education Center 5:30-6:30PM. Join the staff from Paul Sawyier Public Library to learn activities and ways to play purposefully with your child. This is for parents/caregivers and children 3-5 years old. Those enrolled in this program will meet Tuesdays from 5:30-6:30 weekly from March 18-May 13 at Thorn Hill. PACT TIME

April 1, 2025- Qwerty Club, Paul Sawyier Public Library, 11am-12pm. Are you someone who is interested in elevating your typing skills? Look no further! QWERTY club is a bi-monthly group designed to enhance touch typing proficiency among beginning typists using the free online resource TypingClub.com. This program is ideal for learners who are just getting started on their computer journey; however, all are welcome! April 2, 2025- Reading Skills Tutoring, Thorn Hill Education Center 4-5PM. Open to grades K-12, Free. Parents must remain on the school grounds while the child attends tutoring. CHILD EDUCATION
April 2, 2025- Animal Footprints– Paul Sawyier Public Library, 10:30am-12pm. Have you ever wondered what a beaver tail, or macaw feathers or the inside of a turtle shell feels like? Or how does your handprint compare to other animal footprints? Come explore and ask local zookeeper and former Fish and Wildlife educator Ms. Tiffany and her feathered and scaly friends. Drop in anytime from 10:30 AM and 12:00 PM. This program is for children of all ages, accompanied by an adult. No registration required. PACT TIME
April 2, 2025- Yoga for Beginners, Paul Sawyier Public Library, 6-7PM. Certified yoga instructor Grace Rogers will lead participants in breathing exercises, simple physical postures with some flowing in between, and relaxation. April 12, 2025- Kid’s Adventure Day, Yes Arts at 317 West Second Street, Frankfort. Expree Credit Union is hosting their annual Kids’ Adventure Day filled with games, inflatables, food, petting zoo, bubble station and so much more. It is free to the public. Come out to Yes Arts location at 317 W. 2nd Street in Frankfort. Enjoy all these activities and learn about local non-profit partners including: Simon House, Be Smart, Just Say Yes, Franklin County Health Department, Thorn Hill, Wanda Joyce Robinson Foundation, William Joseph Crisis Nursery, Capital City Museum, CASA of the Bluegrass, Boys and Girls Club, LIFE House for Animals, Farmer’s Market and more.
