Rita joined Thorn Hill in January 2017 becoming the 14th Director of Thorn Hill.  She is a long time educator in Franklin County, most recently the principal of Western Hills.  She is also an active member of the community, and is involved with the Franklin County Women’s Shelter.

Linda Weber is a graduate of Kentucky State University with an Associate in Applied Science, Administrative Support Services. She retired after 28 years of service from the Commonwealth of KY, Office of Vocational Rehabilitation as their Internal Policy Analyst.


Taisha Chandler, Admissions/Testing  Coordinator                          taisha.chandler@ffclc.com

Taisha is a graduate from Kentucky State University with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Development.  She has been the testing coordinator for over eight years.


Jamie Poynter, Teacher/Corrections                                                          jamie.poynter@ffclc.com

Jamie joined THEC in January of 2016.  She teaches in the Franklin County jail as well as the school.  She previously had years of experience in the corrections setting.  She has a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Pikeville


Trina Wallace, Teacher                                                                                  trina.wallace@ffclc.com

Trina started at THEC in July of 1990 where she taught GED classes.  She implemented the WIN program in 2000 with tremendous success.  Her past experience is teaching in the public schools.  She graduated with a Bachelors degree from EKU and received her Masters Degree from Georgetown.

Frank joined Thorn Hill in 2015 and has been instrumental in the WIN program.  He graduated from Kentucky State University with a teaching degree in physical education.  Frank previously served in the US Navy Hospital Corp from 1979-83.  He is also a licensed                                      massage therapists and owned and taught at a massage therapy school.

Kelley joined TH in June 2017.  A former college professor and coach with experience in a corrections setting.  She graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelors of Science in Teaching (K-12) and with a Master of Arts in Health Education.

Mindy is no stranger to the Thorn Hill Staff.  She has worked as an assistant FLIP Coordinator two times in the past under Lane Lewis.  Her love for teaching and child development is second to none.  Mindy graduated with a degree in English from Western Kentucky University.

Sarah joined Thorn Hill in July 2018 as the newest member of the TH Family.  She has a CMA from TMIKY.  Fluent in Spanish and English, she is our ne ESL teacher.  He classes are at night to accommodate working individuals.


Craig Creech, GED Administrator/Mobile Tester                                   craig.creech@ffclc.com

Craig has an extensive background in mathematics.  He is an Air Force Veteran, serving eight years.  He is a certified substitute teacher in Franklin County.  Craig also travels throughout the state administering the GED in correctional facilities.


Victoria Wallace, GED Tester

Victoria Wallace grew up in Frankfort, Kentucky with a love for the great outdoors. That love lead her to get her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science from Bellarmine University. While in college, she had the opportunity to intern with Kentucky Fish and Wildlife at the Salato Wildlife Education Center, where she was able to create a passion for teaching. After graduation, she was able to combine the two passions by getting an opportunity to spend a year in Pine Knoll Shores, North Carolina working at an Environmental Education Center called Sound to Sea. Victoria is now the Testing Administrator for Thorn Hill Learning Center as well as the Lead Educator for Kentucky Childern’s Garden.
