Thorn Hill Education Graduation Information
| ELIGIBILITY: | Any person who has passed the GED examination from June 2022–June 2023 is eligible to participate in the graduation ceremony. If you know of graduates who did not receive this letter and are eligible, please have them contact Kelley Anderson at 502 875-1481 or email kelley.anderson@ffclc.com |
| REGISTER: | Call 502-875-1481 or e-mail lisa.batsche@ffclc.com by Friday, June 10, to:
· Confirm you will be attending the graduation ceremony · Verify your full name and spelling for the program and certificate · Provide the names and ages of children needing child care during the ceremony |
| DATE: | Friday, June 16, 2023 |
| TIME LINE: | 5:00 p.m. – Graduate Registration, fitting for cap and gown |
| 5:00 p.m. – Child Care Room opens | |
| 6:00 p.m. – Graduation Ceremony begins | |
| 7:00 p.m. – Reception with refreshments | |
| 7:30 p.m. – Child Care closes. Please pick up your child. | |
| DRESS CODE: | Dress Casual – this type of occasion calls for dress-up versions of casual clothes.
· Women: a skirt or dress pants · Men: pants or khakis and a collared shirt or jacket Jeans, t-shirts, shorts are not appropriate for this event |
| CAP & GOWN: | Graduates must be at Thorn Hill at 5:00 p.m. to be fitted for cap & gown. We will provide you with a cap and gown to wear during the ceremony at no cost; if you would like to purchase the cap and gown, you may do so before the ceremony. (See reverse side for price list) The tassel is yours to keep as our gift to you. |
| CHILD CARE: | FREE child care for birth – five (0-5) will be provided by FLIP in Room 1 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. All children who attend child care will receive a free book. |
| YOUR FUTURE: | Please consider continuing your education by attending college. There are scholarships along with state and federal funds available to help pay for your education and we can assist you in the college application process and entrance exams. | CONTACT INFORMATION: | In case you are not able to attend graduation, we would still like to give you your graduation certificate and tassel, so be sure to contact us with your current mailing address. |
